Bucket List

I focus a lot on budget, where to go, and when.  This bucket list reminds me why I’m devoting so much time, energy, and money into taking a RTW trip.  It’s to push my boundaries, have experiences that are outside the norm, do things I’m maybe a little afraid of, and live my life the way my gypsy soul is telling me is right for me.   Some of the items on this list may be a little abstract, though I’m guessing that most will be actual activities I want to participate in. I’ll update this list as I think of new topics!

  1. Work with elephants in SE Asia
  2. Go on walkabout in Australia
  3. Visit countries on 5 continents
  4. Go skydiving
  5. Oktoberfest…need I say more?
  6. Ride a camel in Morroco
  7. Motorbike across an island
  8. Subsist on rum, plantains, and limes for at least a week in the tropics…oh wait, did that 🙂
  9. Work on a boat
  10. Help a community implement an environmentally sustainable project
  11. Campervan it across New Zealand with some strangers that are soon to be friends…or some strange friends
  12. Attend the ultimate party…Carnival in Rio!
  13. Swim with dolphins in the wild
  14. Reach 1,000 people via blog email updates
  15. Meditate at Stonehenge
  16. Go bungy jumping
  17. Visit a monastery in Nepal or Tibet

I think your “next big trip” should start with number 19. The possibilities are endless!

  2. Hey Kat! I’m planning on going to South America in January next year! Chile, Bolivia, Peru, you name it! If you’re feeling like a bit of an excursion-budget permitting of course-you should totally join 😀
